What are you doing it for?

Are you working for the work itself, or for the rewards and recognition it might give you?

The answer to this question will determine your future happiness.

I remember Ido Portal's response to a stupid question he was asked about successful people. He said: "Success is a dirty nauseating word. Just sit down and do your f**king work."

I agree.

With work we have two options: Work for money. Work for love. Neither is right nor wrong. It's a choice.

But here's the difference:

People who want success, acclaim, and riches never have enough. Never satiated. Always seeking more.

People doing the work for the work itself, always have enough. Their cup is filled to the brim. Because winning or losing isn't in their vocabulary. Their mind is fixated on the process. Living each moment as it comes. Doing the very best they can without regard for personal gain.

I know which one appeals to me.

But which will you choose?
