Simplify everything

Humans overcomplicate.

Why do we do this?

Fear that we'll lose our jobs, contracts, respect. Fear that people will find out that what we actually do is very simple and could be done in half the time. Fear that we're not as skilled as we're made out to be.

In a large corporation this normal. You're paid to be on the clock. You're incentivised to overcomplicate. To stretch things out.

A good entrepreneur does the opposite.

They simplify. They remove words from emails. They automate repetitive tasks. And will often cut inessential tasks out altogether.

So if you've moved (or are moving) from corporate life to entrepreneurship beware of this criminal habit.

Simplify. Everything.
